The so-called 'trumpeters' decoration shows a trumpet player and a French horn player in Ottoman dress. This decoration was probably ordered and produced in China toWestern designs which the Dutch East India Company took to the East. Parts of services with this same pattern are in the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, the Boymans-van Beuningen Museum in Rotterdam and the Musée de Mariemont (B).
