Coffeepot
1783 - 1783
The name suggests otherwise but at the end of the eighteenth century the Persian coffee pot or Persane was produced in (among other places) a small number of towns in the Southern Netherlands. Indeed, people in this region were absolutely fascinated by the Near East. Designers based their chocolate, coffee and tea services on eastern examples. This type is recognizable by its long, relatively narrow neck.
