This DIVA talk brings together three unique talents: the Russian jewellery designer Into Niilo, artist-in-residence at DIVA, and the Antwerp duo Nadine Wijnants & Mark Van Grieken, who’s work currently shines in the exhibition "Pinned! Contemporary Antwerp Jewellery."
Into Niilo combines a background in fashion with an innovative approach to materials and techniques. Known for their dark humour and surrealistic elements, Into explores themes such as corporeality, psychology, and astronomy. Their work is infused with personal experiences and a strong political and social undertone.
Nadine Wijnants, an established name in Antwerp since 1990, and Mark Van Grieken form a creative duo that has been pushing the boundaries of jewellery design for 25 years. Their work is a blend of tradition and innovation, focusing on small-scale and very personal productions. In their own shop, which serves as a creative laboratory, they strive for beauty and quality accessible to all.
