What will you do?
This workshop is specifically dedicated to illustrating gems and semi-precious stones that are cabochon cut. You will learn how light affects volumes and materials and what it is like to paint transparent gemstones with gouache.
A cabochon is a gemstone that is polished rather than faceted. The shape usually has a convex or rounded front with a flat back. Cabochon polishing was the standard method before faceted polishing of gemstones developed. No prior knowledge is required for this workshop.
The workshop will be taught in English.
