Straub, Heinrich

Heinrich Straub, son of Chrisoph Straub (1537 - 1602) became a master in 1608. Also his younger brothers Wolfgang (1583 - 1644), Hans II (1588 - 1639) and Andreas (1597 - 1632), as well as his son Gabriël (1610 - 1662) were silvermiths in Nürnberg. Around this period, Nürnberg became an important place for silverware, there were important workshops and crafmanship was flourishing. There are several scalloped cups - Beckelpokalen- known made by Heinrich Straub.
