Firm of silversmiths from Mechelen (Malines). Henri De Bist 'Manufacture de couverts & d'orfèverie argent' was established in the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwestraat in Mechelen. From him we chiefly are acquainted with schepwerk from the interbellum period and from the 1940's -1950's. In the 1950's he also had models and moulds at his disposal from the houses Schippers, Schapmans (Mechelen) and J. Van Hooff-Pauwels. He represented their marks together with his own maker's mark DB on the cover of his catalogue of models.
