Fallon, Jean Baptiste I

Jean-Baptiste Fallon was born in Namur and baptized in April 1713 in the parish of Saint-Jean-Baptiste. He was enrolled in the guild as a silversmith on May 2, 1743. His masterpiece consisted of the realization of a water jug. He married Jeanne-Thérèse Massart on 29 June 1747 and died on 18 March 1800. From 1747 to 1750 he was dean of the craft and in 1787 alderman of the City of Namur. Several sons were trained by him. Jean-Baptiste II Fallon (1752-1837), who became a master in 1781, worked in his father's workshop and used his makers mark.
