Cristalleries de Saint Louis
Cristalleries de Saint Louis descends from a small glass company founded in 1586 in Müntzhal, in the northern part of the Vosges. In the 18th century, the village's name was changed to Saint-Louis-Lès-Bitche. The glass company received a royal patent in 1767 and in 1781 they started to produce crystal. In 1829, the company took the name Cristallerie Royale de Saint-Louis. Throughout the 19th century, they marketed innovative designs and techniques. In 1928 the Tommy crystal collection was released, it was used during a royal luncheon in Versailles with up to 200 guests. To this day, the cristallery is known for the high quality they deliver, and the French elite loves its products.
