Lambertus van Gemert, born around 1687 in 's-Hertegongbosch, is registered as a burgher in Antwerp in the year of his marriage to Catharina Colins, 1718. On the basis of an archive document, the mark with the mirror monogram LvG, previously interpreted differently and attributed to Leopold Joseph van Lamoen (1688-1736), can be identified as the makers mark of Lambertus van Gemert. Known works with this makers mark are dating from 1726/1727 to 17444/1747. He died on 18 April 1764 in Antwerp.
