Millé, Ferdinandus Cornelius Carolus

Brussels silversmith. Ferdinandus Cornelius Carolus Millé was born in Brussels and on the 26th of February 1724 he started his apprenticeship with Jan Baptist Ketelbuter. In 1730 he took his master test and on the 30th of April he married Maria de Neck. He trained various pupils, including five sons : Henricus (from 1741), Jan Baptist (from 1745), Jacobus (from 1755), Johannes Josephus (1772) and Ferdinandus Jacobus Josephus (from 1774). For several years he was dean of the trade and in 1750 he was moneychanger at the Munt. On the 3rd 1777 he died in his house de Oude Post in the Violetstraat in Brussels.
