Ghent silversmith. From 1730 she worked in the studio of her father, the silversmith Joannes Smidts. In 1861 she was granted the permission to take over the workshop of her deceased father and her in the meantime also deceased brother Jacobus Franciscus Smidts. She paid admission fee to the Ghent trade on the 4th of March 1761.
