Portrait of Baron Philippe-Louis van de Werve de Schilde

1769 - 1834

In 1781 Andreas Bernardus de Quertenmont (1750-1835) was commissioned to paint the portraits of all the members of the States of Brabant. According to the inscription on the print, Philippe-Louis van de Werve became a member in 1769 when he was only twenty-one. The print was published in Paris by Auguste de Saint-Aubin (1736-1807).
