Nest of weights

1700 - 1800

Non-metric nest of weights weighing 8 pounds, used as a commercial weight. Each box was adjusted with a copper prop bearing the stamp L. The smallest box is missing. The Lamb of God mark on this case is attributed to several Nuremberg brass-workers ranging from c. 1550 to into the eighteenth century. Cap and handle have been restored.
