The silver plate Ex concetto seems to allude to the destructive or spatial art of Lucio Fontana (1899-1968), but nothing could be further from the truth: Max Gielis does not destroy like the anti-art and does not aim for a spatial effect with his intervention. For him, the action is the essence. The plate is the physical holder of an activity and the registration of an idea.
