Reliquary of St Catherine

1686 - 1687

Among the surviving items made by this as yet unidentified maker are a highly ornate plate with chased and embossed vine tendrils and putti dating from 1659-1660 (St Anthony's Church in Antwerp) and an ornamental chain of the St George's Guild of Aalst dating from 1663-1664 (Oud-Hospitaal Municipal Museum of Aalst). The reliquary is screwed onto a wooden frame.
