Duck terrine

1723 - 1736

This type of dinnerware was no exception during the ancien régime. In fact, it was customary for the decoration, or in this case the whole tureen, to reflect the dish served in it. This was very helpful given that all the dishes were placed on the table at the same time. This tureen was made in China and is decorated with colourful enamel to give a life-like impression.
