Soap box

1708 - 1709

The Wolff family's coat of arms has been engraved into the top of the box. The soap box was probably owned by Johannes-Dominicus de Wolff, lawyer at the Hainault Justice Council and Lord of Ergy-de-la-Val. It could also have been owned by the latter's brother, Jean-François de Wolff, the Mons district attorney.
