Vase
1930 - 1940
It may not be immediately obvious, but this is actually a satinized glass vase decorated with overlapping flowers. This striking example is one of a series of art-deco vases produced by the Walloon company Verrerie Scailmont in the 1920s. In 1925 they proved a great success at the international exhibition for decorative arts in Paris. They came in different colours.
