What will you do?

This workshop will introduce you to different cuts and teach you the traditional jewellery painting technique. Discover for yourself how to use gouache to capture the brilliance of diamonds on paper. No previous knowledge is required for this workshop.

The workshop will be taught in English.

 

 

Programme (2 days - 4 hours per day)

Day 1

On day one, you will get an introduction to different diamond cuts, the basics of light theory and the use of gouache paint. You will practise drawing a round-cut diamond with individual feedback.  

Day 2

On day two, you will learn more about light in gemstone compositions and discuss some inspiring examples. You will then continue your work with drawing and painting.

Workshop facilitator

Inesa Kovalova is a jewellery designer with extensive experience in drawing. She graduated from Central Saint Martins College in London and the Creative Academy in Milan - a private design school of the Richemont Group. There, she worked on projects for Richemont brands such as Van Cleef and Arpels, Vacheron Constantine, Roger Dubuis and others, followed by an internship at the Van Cleef and Arpels design department in Paris.

In addition, Inesa developed a series of drawing workshops for jewellery designers and enthusiasts. Since 2016, she has been teaching all over the world. For her masterclasses, she collaborated with several art and design institutions, including the Victoria and Albert museum in London.

Do you have to cancel your workshop? Up to two weeks (14 days) before the start of the workshop, you pay a € 50 administration fee. If you cancel less than two weeks before the workshop start date, you will be charged the full amount. However, you can always suggest a substitute.

The organiser has the right to cancel the workshop in case of insufficient (paying) registrations or force majeure circumstances. You will then receive a full refund.
